Abstract

This study aims to find out how much influence the use of animated video media has on short story writing skills in grade IV students of SDN 1 Paciran. This research uses quantitative experimental research with the type of pre-experimental design method and research design one group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument used is in the form of the practice of writing short stories with a population of 30 students. In this study, the sampling technique used was a saturated sample or a sample that was already maximum and used all population numbers. The data analysis technique used in this study used a normality test and a t-test paired t-test of the t-test sample. Normality tests are carried out in order to find out whether the data is normally distributed or not. Based on the results of the normality test, it is known that the pretest data is 0.087 while the posttest data is 0.119, where the data is greater than 0.05, it can be concluded that the data is normally distributed. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique on the t-test is known that the paired table of the t-test sample shows a significance value (1-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05.
